Petrol will not be Available across the Country from Tomorrow

ISLAMABAD (Arknews Pk Latest Newspaper. November 24, 2021): Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association has announced a nationwide strike from November 25 on non-increase in margins and said that only petrol should be provided to ambulances during the strike. Petroleum Dealers Association says that petrol pumps across the country will remain closed from 6 am on November 25.

A spokesman for the association said: “We have called for a strike on selling petrol at a low profit margin because we have no choice but to go on strike. The government has failed to meet the November 17 deadline for our demands.” Earlier, Chairman Petroleum Dealers Association Abdul Sami Khan had announced closure of petrol pumps in the country on November 5 in case of non-increase in margins.

According to Abdul Sami Khan, the government had promised to increase the commission of dealers but it was not implemented. The strike was called off on November 17 by the Petroleum Dealers Association.

On the other hand, due to the strike of petrol pump owners across the country on Thursday, dealers selling petrol openly have started stockpiling petrol while a large number of people are also seen pouring petrol at the pumps. Petrol pump owners had held talks with the government to increase their commissions. The government had asked for a deadline of November 17 but the government did not respond. The Petroleum Dealers Association had announced a nationwide strike from November 25. ۔
